Legend Glove Care Tips
1. Store It Properly
Keep a ball in the pocket to maintain shape.
Wrap the glove with a band or glove wrap when not in use.
Store in a cool, dry place—never in a hot car or damp bag.
2. Clean It Gently
Wipe dirt with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
For deep dirt, use leather-safe glove cleaner—avoid soaps or chemicals.
Don’t forget to clean the laces and webbing too.
3. Condition the Leather (Sparingly)
Use glove-specific oil or conditioner.
Apply a thin layer every few weeks or when the leather looks dry or stiff.
For Rare Calf (fur) gloves, avoid the fur areas—use a small brush to clean the fur if needed.
4. Don’t Overdo It
Too much oil makes the glove heavy and breaks down the leather.
Never soak, microwave, or bake your glove—this destroys the shape and dries the leather.
5. Relace When Needed
Check laces regularly for wear.
If laces start to crack or snap, get it relaced professionally or DIY with a relacing kit.
6. Break It In Naturally
Playing catch is still the best long-term care.
Avoid shortcuts like steam machines, ovens, or hot water—those cause long-term damage.
Bonus: Quick Maintenance Routine (Monthly)
Brush off dirt and dust.
Lightly apply conditioner to palm and pocket.
Place a ball in the pocket and wrap the glove.
Check laces for looseness or dryness.
Store in a clean, dry bag or on a shelf—not the floor of your trunk!
